Welcome to Campbellton-Chaleur
Ball Hockey Association
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DUNDEE COYOTES AND THE NORTH SHORE REDNECKS, ELITE AND RECREATIONAL DIVISION CHAMPIONS RESPECTIVELY!!!
Elite Division
The elite division final saw a fimilar matchup with the first place Bathurst Canadiens facing off against the third place Dundee Coyotes. It looked as though the Coyotes would take the Allen, Paquet & Arseneau Cup without much trouble as they took a 4-0 lead to the final period. Then the Canadiens came alive and with three minutes to go Eric Doucet scored a goal to bring them within one, Mathieu Thériault had scored Bathurst's first two goals. The Canadiens pressed hard right until the final buzzer but were unable to put another past Coyotes goalie Peter Vienneau who made some spectacular saves in the dying seconds. The final score Dundee Coyotes 4, Bathurst Canadiens 3 and with that the Coyotes took home their third straight Allen, Paquet & Arseneau Cup.
The Dundee Coyotes are: Jonathan Doucet, Pierre-Luc Lavoie, Mathieu Leblanc, Lee Levesque, Olivier Gendron, Kent Frees, Patrick Arseneault, René Arseneault, Joey Bernard, Maxime Goulette, Sébastien Perron and Peter Vienneau (goalie).
Recreational Division
The recreational division final pitted the first place North Shore Rednecks against the third place Belledune Blizzards who had just upset the second place Campbellton APA's in a 2-1 where the game winner was scored with 40 seconds left. The game was fast paced with action at both ends. The teams traded goals throughout and with the score tied 4-4 in the final minutes overtime seemed inevitable. That is until Shawn Lavallée of the Rednecks put the ball in the back of the net and his team ahead for good. Michael Ricketts would add an insurance goal as the North Shore Rednecks would claim the Relay for Life Cup over the Belledune Blizzards.
The North Shore Rednecks are: Tyler Chamberlain, Mark Furlotte, Jason Vienneau, Jeremy Faulds, Michael Ricketts, Nick Kyle, Jeremy Valley, Shawn Lavallée, Dylan Hachey, Trevor Scott, Riley Scott, Justin Vienneau and Sam Guitard (goalie).
